Exploration, excitement, experiences, that’s what the Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. And no, you don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed so you can go straight into it after completion of your Open Water course. The Advanced Open Water course helps you increase your confidence and build your dive skills, so you can get more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your instructor. This course builds on what you have learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.
During the course, you will have the chance to try out 5 different specialities. “Deep diving” and “Navigation” are mandatory, we further recommend “Perfect Buoyancy“ and “Night Diving“. There is no final exam and the course usually takes 2-3 days.
This dive course is quite comprehensive. You will progress in your knowledge and skills. It will teach you how to handle emergency scenarios based on real dive accidents. With your knowledge from the 1st and 2nd level, the course develops in detail the procedures for each type of emergency that can happen following a dive. You will learn to prevent problems as well as to react correctly in case of emergencies.
The course is very playful but based on real accident scenarios. Most divers who have finished the rescue diver training in retrospect describe it as an extremely challenging, but also the most interesting course.
