Komodo Dive Liveaboard 8 Nights Central, North & South

Please note, this is a sample itinerary for a Komodo Dive Liveaboard. Each Liveaboard Cruise route is different and the detailed day-day itinerary and sites will be tailored to suit guests’ preferences well as to weather and ocean conditions. Private Charters are more flexible in the itinerary compared to scheduled Cruises. Your Cruise Director will work with your on the day to day planning.

DAY 1 | 2 Dives: Departure Komodo Scuba Diving

After a short flight to Labuan Bajo, the crew will welcome you aboard for your Komodo Scuba Dive Liveaboard. Start your Cruise with a welcome drinks, a briefing about the vessel and your safety. Then its time to get settled onboard and to relax while cruising west into the National Park. Usually,the vessel head out to Sebayur or Kanawa island for your first check dive. Late on, towards the evening we will go for our first night dive nearby.

DAY 2 | 4 Dives: Komodo Current City

After a light breakfast, you will directly start with a famous dive. Explore the world-class dive site of Batu Bolong. One of the highlights of Komodo Scuba Diving. The second dive of the day will be a drift dive in a reef that is well-known for its orange soft corals – Tatawa Besar. A numerous schools of trevallies and snappers can be spotted during the third dive at Tatawa kecil. The night dive will be in the same area.

DAY 3 | 3 Dives: Rinca Island

After a early morning Dive, go for a hike into the National Park. A guide will explain details about tropical birds, deers and giant lizards. Of course, we make the most of the day and head soon underwater again. Pink Beach – yes, the sand is pink -offers excellent topography underwater. Find a small wall in the middle of the reef with cracks, crevices and schools of glass fish swimming around you. You will also may meet strange critters like crocodile fish, mandarin fish, scorpion fish, frog fish and nudibranch.
Today we have three dives planned for you. The second one will be in Karang Makassar, the famous Manta Point. Another must see Komodo Scuba Diving site. If you come at a good day, you are able to encounter up to 20 or 30 manta rays all at once.Apart from the mantas, sea turtles, huge trevallies, bamboo sharks and white and black tip sharks are gathering here. Again, your night dive will take place in the same area.

DAY 4 | 4 Dives: Current city

The early bird catches the worm and so we head out early to dive in the southern part of Batu Bolong area. Here you will get the chance to fully discover one of the most amazing dive sites of the Komodo archipelago. A beautiful drift dive will lead you through a canyon about 15 to 30 meter below the surface at the dive site Siaba Kecil. Sharks, barracudas, big pelagic fish, schools of giant trevallies and sweetlips can be expected.
Siaba Besar is a magnificent coral garden and playground for divers. Here we will do our third dive of the day. You will explore satellite reefs which are sheltered by a bay. In a short distance we will find several types of hard corals. Strange animals call this bay their home. You can encounter silver tip sharks, frog fish, ornate ghost pipe fish, octopus and occasionally even dugongs.

DAY 5 | 4 Dives: North Komodo Scuba Diving

Early during the next morning we set sail to GilliLawa in the north. Here we have planned three unique dives for you: two dives full of excitement and action in the channels and another drift dive.
The Golden Passage and Cauldron are dives in between two islands where you can feel the currents of Komodo vividly. Due to the advantageous topography and its currents, you will encounter a huge diversity of marine life. The environment makes a perfect playing field for groupers, white tip sharks, giant trevallies, turtles and even manta rays at times.
The third dive at Lighthouse is a highlight for every passionate drift diver as well. During the dive, you will encounter grey reef sharks, barracudas and big schools of trevallies.
After an action-packed day full of divingits time to relax at a viewpoint to enjoy the sun setting in a magnificent environment.
In case you are still not tired,an additional night dive will be offered.
Cruising and Diving in South Komodo (Seasonal)

Day 6 South Komodo | 3 Dives Manta Alley

We set sails to get to Manta Alley early in the morning. This site can be found in ToraLangkoi Bay in the southern part of Komodo. You will dive in Komodon most popular dive site for spotting manta rays in great numbers. These animals spend a lot of time around a tiny rock island.
After two dives in this area, we continue further to Indihiang. This small island offers steeply dropping walls with a great coral diversity and huge fish. The site can be found just a stonearely pierces the Loh Liang. Highlight on this dive include large napoleon wrasses, potato codas well as schools of giant trevallies and snappers.

Day 7: NUSA KODE | 4 Dives

Just a short distance away, we will find ourselves in Nusa Koda, an uninhabited island in the southern part of Komodo National Park. This island boasts some of best dive sites in Komodo and that in Komodo and that… promise. We will jump in the water at Cannibal Rock first. A diversity of fish made this environment full of coral its home. You will not only encounter fish but critters (zebra crabs on fire urchins, leaf fishes, sea apples, rare nudibranches, coleman shrimps, zebra crabs and frog fish among others). We can then admire the wildlife of the national park directly from the ship thanks to the protected bay and calm waters to anchor. Enounter wild boar, deersbirds, monkeys, and of course the most famous inhabitants – komodo dragons! The night dive at Torpedo Point.

Day 8 Padar | 2 Dives

Today, we start early to Padar Island where we will be diving at Three Sisters. Three majestic rock columns are looming out of the ocean here. Multiple kinds of coral and dwelling fish inhabit the area. The dive site Pillarsteen is already waiting for us for a discovery after a short break on deck. It is another famous dive site here on Padar Island. Cruising in the afternoon for Kalongs’ Flying Foxes for Sunet.

Day 9: labuaN Bajo

Farewells and Airport Transfer according to flights.
