Please note, this is a sample itinerary. Each Cruise is different and the detailed day-day itinerary and sites will be tailored to suit guests’ preferences well as to weather and ocean conditions. Private Charters are more flexible in the itinerary compared to scheduled Cruises. Your Cruise Director will work with you on the detailed day/day planning onboard.
Depart from the port at Labuan Bajo between 11am and 12pm, depending on your arrival. After a tour of your Phinisi, a Safety Briefiing and a meal, we will set sell for a check dive at Sebayur Kecil. It is a mini wall and an extremely beautiful place to get comfortable with your equipment. You will also enjoy it as a night dive. It’s visibility is 18 to 25 meters, it is very protected from currents, and the temperature ranges from 27 to 29 degrees Celsius.
On your first full day in Komodo, you can enjoy fantastic dives at Castle Rock, Crystal Rock and Cauldron/Golden Passage. You can aslo take this time to do some land trekking at Gili Lawah Darat. We will then set sail to Siaba Besar where you can take an enchanting night dive. Visibility is 15 to 30 meters, currents can be strong for some of the dives and temperature ranges from 25 to 29 degrees Celsius.
Day 3 in Komodo takes your to incredible dive sites like Siaba Kecil, Awan, and Pengah Kecil. Siaba Kecil is a wonderful drift dive running through impressive canyons, giving you ample opportunity to spot some of the most amazing undersea flora and fauna.
During this action packed day, you will dive fantastic sites such as Batu Bolong, Makassar Manta Reef and Wainilu Muck Dive. In the afternoon you will have a once in a lifetime chance to meet the worlds largest lizards, the Komodo Dragon and marvel at a sunset with the Flying Foxes of Kalong (Fruit bats waking from their sleep in droves and flying to their evening hunt).
After a final breakfast onboard your phinisi schooner, we will arrive back to Labuan Bajo between 10am and 12pm.
We set sails to get to Manta Alley early in the morning. This site can be found in ToraLangkoi Bay in the southern part of Komodo. You will dive in Komodon most popular dive site for spotting manta rays in great numbers. These animals spend a lot of time around a tiny rock island.
After two dives in this area, we continue further to Indihiang. This small island offers steeply dropping walls with a great coral diversity and huge fish. The site can be found just a stonearely pierces the Loh Liang. Highlight on this dive include large napoleon wrasses, potato codas well as schools of giant trevallies and snappers.
Just a short distance away, we will find ourselves in Nusa Koda, an uninhabited island in the southern part of Komodo National Park. This island boasts some of best dive sites in Komodo and that in Komodo and that… promise. We will jump in the water at CannibalRock first. A diversity of fish made this environment full of coral its home. You will not only encounter fish but critters (zebra crabs on fire urchins, leaf fishes, sea apples, rare nudibranches, coleman shrimps, zebra crabs and frog fish among others). We can then admire the wildlife of the national park directly from the ship thanks to the protected bay and calm waters to anchor. Enounter wild boar, deersbirds, monkeys, and of course the most famous inhabitants – komodo dragons! The night dive at Torpedo Point.
