They still exist out there – those fairly unexplored and untouched regions within the Eastern part of Indonesia.
Let us take you to the North of the beautiful remoteness of Molucca archipelago for a exclusive Dive & Cruise experience in Halmahera – or even take you surfing
Formed by the movement of three tectonic plates, a chain of volcanoes stretches out alongside the deep Halmahera Thrust in the middle of the Moluccu Sea – basically all the way from the South up to the North West coast of Halmahera main land.
Only accessible by boat this beautiful volcanic arc on Halmahera’s West coast invites to just let the boat float for a while and enjoy this astonishing landscape.
Some of the 16 volcanoes in Halmahera are volcanic islands, such as Gamalama and Tidore. Gamalama’s island name is Ternate and has been the center for spice trading since as early as 1512 when the Portuguese opened their first fort.
Let us take you for some land excursions to local markets and spice crops, old forts with some of the first ever build canons and taste some of those unique delicacies of East Indonesia.
Trekking up on one of the volcanoes will allow you to experience an extraordinary peaceful sunrise with an unforgettable view. The volcanoes range from heights of just above 300 meters up to 1730 meters, some of them are still active.

Peaking under the surface – Diving Halmhera
Halmahera’s underwater world offers a wide range of species of corals, fish, crustaceans, molluscs, cephalopods, marine reptiles and mammals.
The region lies within the so called Coral Triangle and is home to more species than anywhere else in the world.
Most sites are suitable for snorkeling and freediving – from mellow hard coral dominated shallow reef tops which are home for little reef sharks and turtles as well as a big number of small schooling reef fishes to more drastic and current effected steep walls – the possibilities of snorkeling, freediving and scuba diving are plenty.
Most of the dramatic walls and valleys are home to a huge number of sponges and soft coral, especially if you dive a bit deeper.
Bizarre shapes and colors can hypnotize divers day or night time. The more current effected sites still hold a healthy umber of big fish such as dog tooth tunas, marcels, rainbow runners and even mobulae and eagle rays. Banded sea snakes are often seen more in the shallow reef tops.
Strapping the adventure boots on and willing to head off in the lush jungle for a few hours may reward you with some of the best Durian fruits of Indonesia! Or even a jump in a beautiful waterfall.
Dinghy missions or SUP tours will allow you to explore the stunning coast line up close – white sandy beaches and coves, steel limestone walls or mangrove forests inhabit a big number of habitants – the flora and fauna of this region is unique and absolutely magic.
We are happy to design your unique itinerary based on the interest and wishes of you and your group – let’s create your own personal ocean adventure on to West Halmahera!
