Raja Ampat Cruise Experience

Ann Bonny features plenty of deck space, 2 high-speed tenders for diving and snorkelling expeditions. Discover some of the world’s best reefs and dive sites in Raja Ampat. 

On arrival in Sorong, we will collect you from your hotel or the airport – whichever is best for you. Our staff will accompany you by car to the harbour, a short 10 minute ride from the airport. Our cruise director will greet you on board, give you the grand tour of the boat and a safety briefing before setting off. After a relaxing 4 hour cruise, we will be in the famous Dampier Strait, and head straight to the palm tree lined, white sand beach island of Mioskon. We will enjoy our first afternoon snorkelling, sipping chilled drinks and see our first Raja Ampat sunset of the trip.

We start our second day early in the morning by snorkelling at the Sauwandarek jetty, where we get the chance to see blacktip sharks, turtles, huge 100 year old clams and hundreds of schooling fish. Diving here there is the chance to find pygmy seahorses and an array of brightly coloured nudibranchs, as well as eagle rays and a huge coral garde. Next, we head to Manta Sandy ranger station, the area’s most famous spot for snorkelling and diving with spectacular manta rays as they are congregating at their cleaning station. After lunch, we visit Arborek town and have the chance to snorkel beneath the village pier.

Melissa’s Garden / Piaynemo Beaches / Trekking | Day 3

Day three starts off with the chance to snorkel at one of the most amazing and expansive hard coral gardens in Raja Ampat – the famous Mellissa’s Garden. Reef sharks, turtles, nudis and the most hypnotising coral formations will be the choice of the day – do not forget your camera. We spend the rest of our morning relaxing, or diving Batu Rufus with one of the most picturesque swim throughs in Indonesia. After lunch, there’s time for kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding in some of the best island inlets and beaches around the Piaynemo area.

Wofoh/ Kayaking/ Beach Afternoon | Day 4

Some of the most beautiful beaches in Raja Ampat greet us, and it’s time for a relaxed breakfast and then some amazing snorkelling around the two islands. For divers, there is a chilled wall dive full of coral and macro, and maybe the chance to see a tasselled wobbegong. Stick close to your guide – these sharks can be hard to spot! Later, our crew will set up a beach hangout, with beach umbrellas, cosy bean bags and cool refreshments. Afternoon kayaking, SUP boarding, and snorkelling are the order of the day, and there’s an opportunity for sunset dive to look for some critters.

Eagle Rock / Wayag | Day 5

Some of the most beautiful beaches in Raja Ampat greet us, and it’s time for a relaxed breakfast and then some amazing snorkelling around the two islands. For divers, there is a chilled wall dive full of coral and macro, and maybe the chance to see a tasselled wobbegong. Stick close to your guide – these sharks can be hard to spot! Later, our crew will set up a beach hangout, with beach umbrellas, cosy bean bags and cool refreshments. Wayag/ Blacktip sharks sanctuary/ Beach BBQ | Day 6

Yeben / Kayaking/Snorkelling /Beach afternoon | Day 7

Yeben is an island chain surrounded by glistening sea, lined with palms and coconuts dotted along the white sandy beaches. The coral here is so colourful and varied, a must for snorkellers and divers alike. Our crew will create a lovely beach setup with beach umbrellas, our bean bags and some refreshing drinks and snacks. In the afternoon, we cruise again, this time navigating to Frewin beach for one of our favourite sunsets in Raja Ampat. Take an evening stroll along the beach and keep an eye out at sea for dolphins.

DAY 8 | Bird of Paradise / Cape Kri / Pasir Tibul

Early risers set your alarm,this morning there’s an opportunity to go to a local village and trek to see the famous Birds of Paradise. Following breakfast, the boat moves to Cape Kri. This site is famous in the diving world for the huge amount of species that can be seen on one dive. Over 380 species were found on just one dive survey. Expect schooling fish, turtles, sharks, and some of the most stunning topography and coral. After diving and snorkelling, the crew will raise the sails and give you an opportunity to take some photos.

Time to say farewell | Day 9

We wake up heading back to Sorong and take in the coastline of West Papua. It’s time for breakfast, final farewells, and the exchange of photos and memories that will last a lifetime. We check out in the morning (before midday), and we will transfer you to the airport or hotel.
