First launched in 2014, Kira Kira is a perfect blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. Designed using tropical hardwoods from the forests of Kendari, this 22-meter long, 2-masted schooner boasts 3 twin cabins and 1 double cabin and accommodates up to 8 guests. The interior of the living spaces on the boat are hand-crafted from teak and natural materials. The yacht offers 2 generous decks and a large communal dinning area. This beautiful vessel cruises around Komodo and Raja Ampat and is perfect for scuba diving and free diving Liveaboards.
Kira Kira Liveaboard was designed and built in Bira, South Sulawesi. With a double ironwood keel, her body was first shaped over fires and her ribs crafted from Bitti timbers. All topped with a thick teak deck and a ketch sailing rig. She features a low-lying structure with a large deck and was built with the environment in mind. The electrical systems are using a battery bank in order to reduce emissions and operational noise. She cruises up to 7 knots and sails with the winds. This gives her a cruise range of up to 1000 nautical miles and makes her one of the most economical and environmentally friendly boats in our fleet.
At 22 meters long and 4.5 meters wide, there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your journey. Boasting a communal dining area, a covered dive deck and a large sun-bathing area, your days can be spent basking on deck, enjoying incredible sunrises and sunsets, reading a book from our library, or playing in the beauty of the underwater playground at your feet. You will be delighted with our selection of cold beer, hot coffee, freshly baked bread, sweet treats and an impressive array of freshly prepared Indonesian and Western meals.
The 4 elegant cabins are cut from Kendoli and Teak. They feature large beds and provide natural ventilation. There are 3 twin cabins on the main deck and 1 double cabin on the upper deck. All cabins have storage lockers for bags and diving equipment as well as wardrobes and additional shelf space. Enjoy the comfort of your bed and catch spectacular views across the ocean through the traditional brass portholes or spoil yourself with the panoramic view of the roof-top double cabin. The bathroom facilities are shared and equipped with modern appliances and marine toilets.
