Kira Kira Traditional Boat

Liveaboard

Kira Kira Liveaboard was designed and built in Bira, South Sulawesi. With a double ironwood keel, her body was first shaped over fires and her ribs crafted from Bitti timbers. All topped with a thick teak deck and a ketch sailing rig. She features a low-lying structure with a large deck and was built with the environment in mind. The electrical systems are using a battery bank in order to reduce emissions and operational noise. She cruises up to 7 knots and sails with the winds. This gives her a cruise range of up to 1000 nautical miles and makes her one of the most economical and environmentally friendly boats in our fleet.

Cruising

At 22 meters long and 4.5 meters wide, there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your journey. Boasting a communal dining area, a covered dive deck and a large sun-bathing area, your days can be spent basking on deck, enjoying incredible sunrises and sunsets, reading a book from our library, or playing in the beauty of the underwater playground at your feet. You will be delighted with our selection of cold beer, hot coffee, freshly baked bread, sweet treats and an impressive array of freshly prepared Indonesian and Western meals.
